Ferrets, also known as Mustela putorius furo, are domesticated mammals that are closely related to weasels, minks, and otters. They come in a variety of colors, including:
- Sable: The most common color of ferrets, sable ferrets have a dark, brownish-black coat with a reddish-brown undercoat.
- Albino: Albino ferrets have a white or cream-colored coat and pink eyes, nose, and ears.
- Black: Black ferrets have solid black coats.
- Champagne: Champagne ferrets have a light-brown, almost beige-colored coat.
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon ferrets have a reddish-brown coat.
- Dark-eyed White: This is a specific type of albino ferret, characterized by a white or cream-colored coat and dark eyes.
- Silver: Silver ferrets have a gray or silver-colored coat.
- Siamese: Siamese ferrets have a dark-colored face, ears, feet, and tail, and a light-colored body.

Keep in mind that ferrets can also come in a variety of patterns and variations of these colors, such as dark-eyed white with sable points, black sable, and silver mitt, among others.
It’s also worth noting that ferrets can also change color as they grow older, which is known as “fading.” This is a normal process where the ferret’s coat will lighten or change color over time.
